RULE 1-STARTING A THREAD Now before you go and start a thread think to yourself…”is this thread in any way going to benefit the community or am i just trying to make some random people mad?” This is a great idea and i use it every time i post a new thread. Such threads as the “goodbye” or “I like cheese” threads are pointless and will only make you look dumb. Threads such as “How to make a flash game” are helpful and will benefit in the community. Other times you might be thinking..”OMG i just came up with the best thread EvR! ” Its a sad thing but most likely the thread has already been created. Dont make a duplicate thread.
RULE 2-FLAMING AND TROLLS Now you will meet these people in the forums eventually. Someone says something that angers another person and the person who is mad thinks he/she is helping by arguing and trying to win the match. Nobody will ever win until someone gets banned or the thread is locked. Flaming is just like arguing where no matter what each person has a good explanation for there side but really-theres not reward. Winning a fight only makes you look like a jerk who pushes people around.
RULE 3-CHAT Sorry youngsters but there are people out there that use words such as ZOMG ZOMG ths thread suxoors. And said its how they chat and theres nothing you can do about. Bring it up with the president but it wont help. The reason they do it is that its fast, easy and looks cool too. Learn there language and you will soon be considered a full fledged teen.
RULE 4-FANBOYS Now a fanboy is someone who loves something and somewhat wants to express his feelings to other people. So Billy here loves Halo 3 and he shares it on the forum. Another tough guy comes up and says HALO 3 SUX! This only results in an arguement about which one is better. Both have reasonable thoughts and have the right to keep them-But! They both should both just say,we both have different thoughts and we have a right to stand up for them. This the almost exact smae thing as flaming exept its about something.
RULE 5-MODS AND ADMINS These people have power over the forums and can edit most posts and ban people who are being abusive. Give these people respect. Now as you may see in Kongregate there are many threads about ” yo how do i be a mod” and usually 1-5 answers appear saying. ” stop doing this ”. Yes it sounds harsh but they are doing the right thing. First off, asking gives you a lower chance. Second of all, they are basiclly allready never goin to be a mod. That is because in the HELP section it states how to become a mod. That shows how they are not prepared and just wnat to ban someone who is being abusive to them.
RULE 6-POST COUNT Now for some strange reason 60% of the people who post on the forums think that the more posts they have the more better they are. This is not true! Some posts may be as short as lol while some others have very few posts but they are all as long as this. Posting simple posts like lol or yeah will result in a ban eventually after posting crap. Many people do it and it’s a sad thing and the methed is utterly stupid.
RULE 7-CAPS Shouting through the written word is stupid and annoying, clearly! There is no reason what so ever to ever in your life use caps. period.
RULE 8-NSFW NOT SAFE FOR WORK Make sure you do not post any explicit links incase somebody is at work sitting by there boss. For some reason people think this is funny and they laugh while the worker leaves the office bulding to go home and cry. Its a mean thing to do and may change the workers life forever.
